Originally, I was born and raised in South Denmark on an island called Fyn, but I now I live in Copenhagen, where I also have my studio.

Since I was little, I have been fascinated by clay.

I started making ceramics in our neighborhood when my friends started to play football. Creativity has always played an enormous role in my life. I have always loved to draw, paint, decorate, sew, knit, etc.

Ceramics, however, is what I always fall back on every time. I have always loved the processes with clay. It is only here, when I have grown older, that I have really delved into the subject. Today I am so privileged that I have made my passion my work.

The ideas behind my products are that you should be able to see that they are shaped by hand.

It has always been important to me that my things are personal and special.

I always strive to make something that is functional, but at the same time wildly whimsical and unique. You can even see my fingerprints on some of my things. According to some, they should probably be removed, but for me it makes my ceramics even more personal and special.

For me, it's about the fact that if you constantly have to perfect all your things, then it won't be fun in the long run. If I go in and remove my fingerprints, I think the charm is gone - and then you might as well go down and buy a mass-produced cup.
